Thursday, December 26, 2002 ( 12:14 PM ) Sarah Mae It's been quite a while since I posted to the Blog. I tried to post before I left for Spain but it didn't go through. My trip to Spain and the wedding went very well despite missed connections, 2 random searches, and e-tickets that are not really. Christmas was spent at home with my immediate family. We also continued our Christmas night tradition of going out with friends to the movies. We saw Catch Me If You Can which pretty much everyone liked even though it was kind of slow. I didn't finish my 20-page paper but I got an extension until the first Thursday of the quarter. Right now I'm just relaxing and recharging for my next quarter. Bonus: We actually had a semi-white Christmas # Wednesday, December 11, 2002 ( 8:14 PM ) Sarah Mae I am currently doing my last shift of the quarter at MMS and trying to finish my 20 page paper which is due tomorrow. It will defintely be an all-nighter but it will be worth it as the paper will count as my major paper for my portfolio. I am very excited about my break even though I will be flying a lot and flying gives me a headache. # Tuesday, December 10, 2002 ( 6:23 PM ) Sarah Mae I bought a very sexy dress for the wedding I will be attending. It is tight, purple with silver specks* (for lack of a better term), low cut in the back, and with a side slit. Also it only cost $15, Score! Update: *sparkles, DUH! # Monday, December 09, 2002 ( 8:27 PM ) Sarah Mae I am finally on google! I did a search for "library school blues" and both my blogs came up and My Art of the Mix page. Very Cool! # Thursday, December 05, 2002 ( 2:54 PM ) Sarah Mae Why is it Dreyer's on the West Coast and Edy's on the East? # ( 2:36 PM ) Sarah Mae So, I am officially done with going to class for the quarter. I had my last internship class yesterday and my last Intellectual Freedom Seminar today. I had to present on my 20 page paper topic today. I think it went well. On the brown-nosing side, I got my reviews back for my Young Adult classand I got a 95, I had reviewed the professor's book for one of them. I got a 94 on my last reading log which was an improvement. Last weekend I watched some movies. On Friday night I rented 40 Days and 40 Nights. It wasn't too bad. I thought it was really funny and entertaining. The next night I wanted to go roller skating but the only rinks I could find were in the Valley. So instead some friends brought their x-box over and we were going to watch The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood on DVD but we couldn't get the x-box to be compatible with my vcr. We could only get the audio. So, we went to the video store but they were all out of vhs. We ended up renting The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys. I didn't know that it had to do with drawing comics but it was really well-done. I laughed, I cried, I ate ice cream (Dreyer's(aka Edy's) Grand Light French Silk). # ( 2:24 PM ) Sarah Mae I was curious about the new Missy Elliot song Work It. I thought she was saying something that the radio made her garble, but it turns out it is just the same line backwards. Cool. # ( 1:39 PM ) Sarah Mae I've been waiting impatiently for this day to arrive. On this day in 2001: America's Cup Winner Sir Peter Blake of New Zealand is attacked and killed by pirates during a trip to the Amazon. ARRRRRRR! # Monday, December 02, 2002 ( 8:20 PM ) Sarah Mae Before I left the microfilm room on Saturday, three people came to use the room. Today was my second to last day at my internship. The staff had a party for me with chocolate cake and ice cream. It was very nice. Nothing much new except that I need to go shopping for a fancy dress for the wedding I'm going to. # |
