Thursday, September 26, 2002 ( 1:54 PM ) Sarah Mae I must just be stupid because I can't figure out how to add my e-mail address to the blogger template. I guess I'll just put it in a post every week or so for comments. I had my first class of the quarter today. It was a seminar on Intellectual Freedom. It looks like it's going to be pretty interesting with lots of discussion, even though the textbook, ALA's Intellectual Freedom Manual, is pretty dry so far. # Tuesday, September 24, 2002 ( 4:18 PM ) Sarah Mae The Microfilm room is pretty busy today. I'm not too surprised since classes do start in 2 days. People are already starting on their research. Lucky me I do not have to write a Master's thesis, just do a portfolio. This quarter I'm taking two real classes and an internship. My internship is going to be at the Wilmington Branch of LAPL. My classes are a seminar on Intellectual Freedom and policy issues and Library Services and Literature for Youth. # Monday, September 23, 2002 ( 4:11 PM ) Sarah Mae I'm at work right now. It's pretty quiet. We just got new machines last week and they seem to be doing well. This weekend I got my financial refund money, so I did a bit of shopping. I bought my books for class and then went to Big Lots, Sav-on, and Trader Joe's. Then on Sunday, I helped my friend Meg put together her Ikea furniture. After that we went to Target where I bought a 3-way lamp, a butterfly chair, a magazine rack, and two end tables that I put together as a coffee table. All of this was clearance Todd Oldham back-to-school stuff. # Thursday, September 19, 2002 ( 12:07 PM ) Sarah Mae Hi everyone! Dennis has inspired me to start my own blog. I will talk about the trials and tribulations of my last year of school EVER! I had more to say in this post but I somehow made it disappear. I will post more later. # |
