I, like Dennis, have noticed a substantial increase in my visitor numbers. Hmmmm. #

I read 6 books for children's lit over the weekend. 3 non-fiction for this week's reading log and 3 for my group presentation on Lois Lowry. I still have 3 more non-fictions to read, and write logs for, by Wednesday but they haven't arrived at the library yet. Damn hold system takes forever and a day. Hoepfully they'll arrive tomorrow morning, instead of Wednesday morning like they did last week. I'm also trying to do next week's reading log before the weekend so that I can concentrate on the final assignment.

Busy, busy, busy. #

Even though my Intellectual Freedom Seminar professor claimed she returned my paper, I still haven't seen it. But she did tell me that I got an A- in the class. Score!

Things are getting hectic as I am in the middle of Week 7 of 10. I need to start revising my portfolio statements and working on my final assignments. #

Well, I had an interesting Valentine's Day. I actually had plans this year. First I had an uncomfortable dinner with a guy who thought we were a couple after one date. Afterwards I went out bowling with my friends. It certainly ended on a high note. #

Sunday

I spent the day cleaning the bathroom and my desk area. It was such a disaster area with papers and bills and receipts everywhere. I also realized that I had forgotten to pay my credit card bill which was due on the 5th. OOPS! Anyway, later I finally watched Eyes Wide Shut. It was interesting but everyone seemed to talk really slowly which made the already long movie drag. They should have just gone with the NC-17 and forgotten about blocking out the orgy because no teenager would have sat through it just for that anyway. #

Saturday

I spent the day doing laundry and reading for class. Later I made a cake and watched The Sweetest Thing. This movie was such crap I can't even believe it. It had some funny moments but it seemed really low-budget and contrived. I thought it was going to be one of those "it's so bad it's good," but it wasn't. #

Friday

Today I went with my friend to see The Hours. I liked it even though it was a little slow and I hadn't read any of the books. Great acting. #

Thursday

I went grad bar today. It was an 80's theme, so I got a free drink for dressing up. I also met a guy there and we ended up going out to the mvoies afterward. We saw 25th Hour. I liked the movie except for the whole racist diatribe in the middle about everyone in New York. Edward Norton does a great job and is still incredibly good looking. #

Why is it that L.A. has so many ads for strip clubs, Oh I mean "Gentleman's Clubs"? I mean everywhere I look there's a billboard or a bench ad with some porn star looking woman. What gives? #

Reading Log is updated.

As I was checking out IMDB, I was very excited to see that the first season of Six Feet Under is coming out on VHS/DVD. I saw two episodes because a friend of a friend had the Emmy viewing box from HBO. I love this show but don't have cable so this really makes my day.

So, on Saturday a friend and I went to the Vidal Sassoon Academy. I got my hair dyed auburn and cut to shoulder length with square layers. We were there from 8:45 AM until after 3 PM.

Later I went to Target to get some hair products and a velour sweat-suit. I couldn't believe that the ones they had by Mossimo were made of polylester velour. The fabric felt so nasty! It's all about the cotton velour people!!!!

The search continues...(maybe I'll ask for my b-day)

In Portfolio class we had guest speakers talking about their career paths. None of them did what I want to do. Actually none of the speakers they bring in talk about what I want. They all switch jobs and employers every few years until they are management. I want to be a children's librarian in a community where I live and can really get to know and serve them. Moving around every five years is not conducive to that. Anyway, we got papers back and I need to do more revisions, big surprise. #
