Friday, January 31, 2003 ( 12:48 PM ) Sarah Mae So much to talk about, where do I start? OK, not really but I have been busy with errands this week. I got my California license plates and mailed my Maryland ones back home.I got my oil changed at Jiffy Lube. Last night I set up my new insurance at Geico. Today I am helping my friend move into her new apartment and tomorrow we are going to spend a good portion of the day at the Vidal Sassoon Academy getting our hair cut and colored, starting at 8:45 am. # Monday, January 27, 2003 ( 10:05 PM ) Sarah Mae Reading log updated # ( 9:46 PM ) Sarah Mae It's going to be a pretty busy week. On Tuesday morning I'm going to the DMV to finish registering my car, now that I got it smog checked. Turned in more assignments for my portfolio and signed up to present to the class. # Friday, January 24, 2003 ( 12:11 PM ) Sarah Mae Well, the portfolio assignments are harder than expected. The professor sent an e-mail about our first submissions and said that pretty much all of them need rewriting. Oh well, that's why I'm doing it now so I can get good feedback, help, etc. # Thursday, January 23, 2003 ( 9:32 PM ) Sarah Mae Reading log updated. # Friday, January 17, 2003 ( 12:06 PM ) Sarah Mae Took a field trip on Wednesday to see the Cerritos Public Library. It was incredible! It looks like a mall, thereare many comfy chairs, and an aquarium with small sharks in the children's area. Apparently they redo the library every 9-10 years. Where do they get the money? From the Cerritos Auto Square. The city gets all the taxes from the cars sold. # Monday, January 13, 2003 ( 8:26 PM ) Sarah Mae Movies I saw over break: Star Trek Nemesis Boondock Saints Chicago Adaptation About Schmidt Higher Learning Cath Me if You Can # ( 8:02 PM ) Sarah Mae I have finally updated my reading log. There will be more to come since I am taking childrens lit and have to read many books and do reading logs. # Friday, January 10, 2003 ( 12:40 PM ) Sarah Mae I turned in my paper last night. It is pretty crappy but it is done. I have started all my classes for the quarter: Portfolio & Professional Development, Childrens Literature, and Public Libraries. Portfolio class rocks because without it my portfolio would be being written over Spring Break. (It is due on April 11th) Childrens Lit is fun beacuse I get to read lots of childrens books. Public Libraries: no book or reader, all group projects only one of which is a paper. Yes! # Sunday, January 05, 2003 ( 2:36 PM ) Sarah Mae Happy New Year! I'm now back at school, at work actually, and there is no one here. Surprise Surprise. I bought all my books for classes and it only set me back $112. They are mostly books for children's lit. I read a lot over break but I have not yet posted to the reading log. I probably won't for at least a week because I have to finish my 20 page paper. I spoke too soon, someone just came in. # |
