I had a nice Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. I ate at my aunt and uncle's house in Santa Monica. Also in attendance were my cousin, his (new to me) girlfriend, his roommate, and his former roommate. Everyone there besides me, my aunt and uncle are in the financial biz, venture capital or bonds. It made for exciting conversation. We also had many laughs at the stories of practical jokes played on other friends/roommates. None of these people I knew but it was hilarious anyway.

I finished my biocritical essay last night and sent it off via the internet. It has been received.

No one is here in the Microfilm room. I am not really surprised, although there were actually people waiting outside for the library to open today. None of the eateries are open today which I discovered when I tried to get breakfast. Luckily there are some nice vending machines. I will work until 1pm, then I think I'll go home and take a nap. I have to work at my internship tomorrow and that is going to be a zoo. #

I haven't finished my biocritical essay yet, but the deadline was extended from today until Friday. I did write about two pages of it though.

I get to register for Winter quarter classes today but not until 11pm. So far the classes I want/need are about half full. Hopefully they will stay that way.

At my internship today I entered new books into the computer and processed them.

I have a bad migraine. When I got to work, none of the ILL had been done and films had not been put away. I did work for about an hour and a half. I'm leaving the rest for someone else.

The weather has been incredible the last two days. It's been in the 80's! This is not normal weather for the middle of November, even if this is southern California. My internship was pretty busy yesterday, lots of people with reference questions and wanting to use the computers. #

You guys are absolutely no fun. :-(

I know people have visited since I last posted and I know you must have an opinion of some sort.

Anyway, this is week is going to be pretty busy as I'm working 20.5 hours at my internship. That's four days as opposed to my usual 2.

I also have to write a bio-critical essay about a young adult author. I have chosen Richard Peck.

Next week I'll be working on my 20 page research paper and the presentation. I've decided to stick with my theme for the class so far, which has been hate speech.

I also have to write a little paper about my internship. Did I accomplish my goals, etc.

All in all, the next four weeks will be jam-packed full of all the fun and excitement library school has to offer. #

I see that there have been some visitors. This makes me happy.:-) There have been no comments. This makes me sad.:-( So, I'm going to conduct a poll.

Which is more aesthetically pleasing, the female body or the male body? I don't mean what turns you on, but what looks nicer, say in a painting for example.

I personally would have to go with the female body.

Comments?

Well, it's hard to believe that I'm almost a third done with my last year of school. I had my last Young Adult class today. Now, I just have two papers left to do and one presentation.

I'm getting really excited about going to Spain in December. I was able to get a really good deal on a flight from Madrid so I don't have to take the train. I knocked $100 of the price by buying directly from the airline's site instead of going through Expedia. The dollar was also up on the euro that day. Bonus!

Posted to the Reading log today. #

I am just posting to let y'all know that I'm still alive. It's been very busy this week considering I started it off by staying up 22 hours straight. I ended up going to bed at 7am on Monday. #

I forgot to mention that I got an A on my book critique for my intellectual freedom seminar. :-) This is very good and unexpected. I still have two more assignments for the class, including a 20 page paper. I have not yet figured out what to write on for the final paper.

I went to my internship last night. It was busy but not as hectic as Monday. I got there right when all the kids were getting out of school. There were quite a few reference questions to deal with. Even one on the Blair Witch.

Nothing too exciting happening. It's supposed to start raining tonight. If it does it will be the first storm of the season. November is supposedly LA's rainy season. We'll see if there's more rain than last year. #

The Halloween party kicked ass! I had a great time and ended up staying until the end even though I had a 9 am class the next day. The host told me that if they were giving out prizes I would get one for dancing. He was cute and later walked me to my car. :-)

This weekend I watched Emma and Love Jones. I liked both of them but Emma was kind of boring, I much preferred Clueless. Love Jones, was incredible and reminded me how much I want the soundtrack.

My internship was busy today. This week is stats week, so we have to keep stats on how many people come to ask questions at the reference desk. There were Many, especially for the hour that I was supposed to be on the desk by myself. It probably wouldn't have been so bad except that I told this woman I would help her look for rentals on the web and had to basically do the whole thing for her. #
