You guys are absolutely no fun. :-(

I know people have visited since I last posted and I know you must have an opinion of some sort.

Anyway, this is week is going to be pretty busy as I'm working 20.5 hours at my internship. That's four days as opposed to my usual 2.

I also have to write a bio-critical essay about a young adult author. I have chosen Richard Peck.

Next week I'll be working on my 20 page research paper and the presentation. I've decided to stick with my theme for the class so far, which has been hate speech.

I also have to write a little paper about my internship. Did I accomplish my goals, etc.

All in all, the next four weeks will be jam-packed full of all the fun and excitement library school has to offer. #

I see that there have been some visitors. This makes me happy.:-) There have been no comments. This makes me sad.:-( So, I'm going to conduct a poll.

Which is more aesthetically pleasing, the female body or the male body? I don't mean what turns you on, but what looks nicer, say in a painting for example.

I personally would have to go with the female body.

Comments?

Well, it's hard to believe that I'm almost a third done with my last year of school. I had my last Young Adult class today. Now, I just have two papers left to do and one presentation.

I'm getting really excited about going to Spain in December. I was able to get a really good deal on a flight from Madrid so I don't have to take the train. I knocked $100 of the price by buying directly from the airline's site instead of going through Expedia. The dollar was also up on the euro that day. Bonus!

Posted to the Reading log today. #

I am just posting to let y'all know that I'm still alive. It's been very busy this week considering I started it off by staying up 22 hours straight. I ended up going to bed at 7am on Monday. #

I forgot to mention that I got an A on my book critique for my intellectual freedom seminar. :-) This is very good and unexpected. I still have two more assignments for the class, including a 20 page paper. I have not yet figured out what to write on for the final paper.

I went to my internship last night. It was busy but not as hectic as Monday. I got there right when all the kids were getting out of school. There were quite a few reference questions to deal with. Even one on the Blair Witch.

Nothing too exciting happening. It's supposed to start raining tonight. If it does it will be the first storm of the season. November is supposedly LA's rainy season. We'll see if there's more rain than last year. #

The Halloween party kicked ass! I had a great time and ended up staying until the end even though I had a 9 am class the next day. The host told me that if they were giving out prizes I would get one for dancing. He was cute and later walked me to my car. :-)

This weekend I watched Emma and Love Jones. I liked both of them but Emma was kind of boring, I much preferred Clueless. Love Jones, was incredible and reminded me how much I want the soundtrack.

My internship was busy today. This week is stats week, so we have to keep stats on how many people come to ask questions at the reference desk. There were Many, especially for the hour that I was supposed to be on the desk by myself. It probably wouldn't have been so bad except that I told this woman I would help her look for rentals on the web and had to basically do the whole thing for her. #

This week has been pretty boring. I feel like I'm going to be fighting a cold all quarter. The runny nose is just off and on. Tonight I'm going to a Halloween party. I'm dressing as a flapper. Hopefully it will be fun and interesting, so I can post it. I am actually going to post to my Reading Log today. #

Today I went to my internship early because I was supposed to accompany the children's librarian on her school visits. Unfortunately they got moved to Wednesday which is when I work at school. So instead I did more dusty book report and sat at the reference desk. I'm really tired from being up in San Francisco all weekend, but I didn't wear a flower in my hair. :-) #

I called in sick at work today and spent most of the day sleeping. The rest of the day I spent working on my book critique.

I called my parents today. They are doing well despite the sniper action. #

Today at my internship I did more Dusty Book Report, it is slow going and I have about 100 more pages to go. I guess I did about 10 pages in two hours, not very fast.

There was a magician in today for a children's program and I watched part of his show. He was really good.

I also got to learn Circ desk procedures today, even though I won't be doing that as a librarian. I checked out material, checked in material, paid fines, put a book aside for a hold request, and issued new library cards. Woo Hoo!

I am currently working on a book critique for my Intellectual Freedom seminar which is due on Thursday. #

I am so pissed off! When I got to work tonight, I found that my coworker had done no work and left me with films to reshelve, interlibrary loan requests to fill, and a whole bin of tattletaping to do. I could understand if the room had been busy during her shift but it was obvious that it hadn't been since everything that was checked out was done before she was on duty. AAARRRGGHH!

At my internship today I spent the whole shift doing the Dusty Book Report. It gave me a headache. #
